techniques: Earthenware ceramics with lightly textured printed images fired onto the surface. Multiple fired in gas kiln.

brief: To make 2 pieces of artwork for corridor areas of the Residential Unit in Heywood Lodge, Clonmel.

commissioned by: Health Service Executive, Dublin

details: This artwork runs along the corridor at head height and consists of a mosaic of animals and birdlife found around the area. The images are highly coloured and tactile to engage the patients and encourage them to touch. Not what they usually tell you to do with an artwork.
