Welcome to dianemccormick.co.uk. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of our ceramic products, including custom commissions.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to the following:

1. About Us

Dianemccormick.co.uk is operated by Diane McCormick, a ceramic artist based in Northern Ireland, UK. Each item is handmade, unique, and may contain natural variations in colour, shape, and finish.

2. Products

All items listed in our shop are handmade, one-of-a-kind ceramics. Due to the nature of the craft:

  • Dimensions and colours may vary slightly from the photos shown.
  • No two pieces will be exactly the same.
  • Items are sold subject to availability.

If you are commissioning a bespoke piece, we will confirm the details, pricing, and estimated timeframe in writing before beginning.

 

3. Ordering & Payment

We accept payment securely through Stripe. Prices are listed in £GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. Orders are only confirmed once payment has cleared.

For commissions, a deposit may be required before work begins, with the balance due before shipping or collection.

 

4. Shipping & Delivery

We ship throughout the UK and internationally where possible. Shipping times and costs will be shown at checkout. Please allow extra time for made-to-order or commissioned items.

  • All items are packaged with care to ensure safe delivery.
  • Any customs charges or import duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

 

5. Returns & Refunds

As each item is handmade, we do not accept returns for change of mind.

However, if your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 14 days of delivery with photographs. We will offer a replacement if available, or a refund if not.

Custom commissions are non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or do not match the agreed brief.

 

6. Commissions

Commissioned items are created based on mutual agreement between the customer and the artist. Once the details are confirmed, we will provide an estimated completion time. Please note:

  • Changes to the design after work has begun may incur additional costs or extend the delivery time.
  • We reserve the right to decline a commission at our discretion.

 

7. Intellectual Property

All content, designs, and photographs on this website are the intellectual property of Diane McCormick and may not be used without permission.

 

8. Liability

We are not responsible for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or delays in delivery.


9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Northern Ireland and any disputes will be handled in the UK courts.


10. Updates

We may update these terms from time to time. Please check this page before ordering.

 

11. Taxes & Duties for Orders Outside the UK

If you are ordering from outside the United Kingdom, your order may be subject to local taxes, customs duties, or import charges upon arrival in your country.

  • These fees are not included in our prices or shipping charges and are the responsibility of the buyer.

  • Customs policies vary widely between countries, so we recommend checking with your local customs office for more information before placing an order.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processes or for any fees incurred upon import.

Please note: We are a small independent business based in Northern Ireland and currently do not charge VAT on sales. However, buyers outside the UK may still be liable for VAT or other local charges upon receipt of their order.
