Description: A wall mounted ceramic tile artwork in two sections, made from textured, mono-printed coloured ceramic tiles.
Concept: Ceramic tiles in the form of a woodland glade with birds, animals and insects drawn and printed into the clay surface.
The two artworks are located along the hospital corridors
The green unit has woodland birds, mammals and insects printed on a ceramic background of grasses and leaves with subtle shades of lustred glazes.
The blue corridor has images of fish, seabirds and pondlife on a background textured with patterns of pondweed and waves. The colours here are mostly in shades of blues and purple lustres.
The images are of animals and plant life found around the area and include, frogs, freshwater fish, Irish Hare, pheasants, Little Owl, Snipe, Red Squirrel and Jay.
