Description: Two ceramic panels made from over 500 individual printed and textured pieces depicting life in and around the school. It illustrates the wealth of local history found around the village and is meant to inspire and encourage children to learn about their surroundings.

Two artworks 7m and 5m long are made from flat relief ceramic shapes with illustrations on their surfaces and form a flowing layer to represent the school and community.

Based on the rich archaeology and history of the area the shape takes the form of a long wave made up of different layers of images, words and patterns.

Each shape depicts people, activities, landmarks, games, school curriculum and other ideas generated from workshops with the school children, staff and parents.

A week was spent in the school working through ideas with the pupils and staff before the project commenced so that everyone had a chance to participate in forming ideas for this artwork.

As a result of this the school gained two extra pieces of ceramic work made by the pupils and these are permanently on display in the upstairs corridor.
